About a week has gone by since her first ever solo date, and I've needed a little bit of time to kind of process everything, but it finally happened.

A lot of times in this subreddit, I see a lot of posts of excited husbands who are thrilled to share their story. While I am excited to share my experience, it's good to know and remember that this lifestyle isn't always exactly how you picture it going.

Over the past couple months my wife has been talking to a guy she met on tinder from a different state, and he drove to a near by city to meet with her. Since he was driving so far he decided he was going to get a room for the weekend, (Friday and Saturday) and offered her to come hang out both days. She was nervous. I was nervous. I also wasn't sure what to think about going on back to back dates, simply because she had not met him yet and if Friday didn't go well, then what's the point of even considering the following day.

Days and even weeks leading up to her date, we had discussed our boundaries. For me, it was important that I knew she got where she was going safely. I wanted to know when they were headed to a different spot and I did not want her to stay the night. Based off the conversation my wife has shown me between her and her dude, it was a little easier for me because the entire time he has been nothing but respectful towards both my wife and myself. He is also married and he and his wife are in an ENM relationship (something I wasn't very familiar with until recently).

It was cute and fun watching my wife do her hair, pick out an outfit, make sure everything was shaved perfectly to get ready to go meet this guy. When it was time for her to leave, I walked her down to the car and gave her a very big long hug before she left. I remember in that moment thinking to myself "wow I can't believe that this is actually happening".

I watched her pull out of the driveway and that was it. It's hard to describe exactly what emotions I was feeling. This was something I've fantasized about for a long time and all of the sudden it was real. She had about a 45 minute drive, and she called me on the way.

Things didn't necessarily go downhill when she arrived at her spot, however to try and ease into her nerves she took several shots of tequila to help make things easier. My wife has always been an "in the moment" type of person. She isn't one to be attached to her phone, and shes always trying to be present with whoever she's with. She said he was very nice and polite. Easy to talk to. After hanging out at the first spot for a few hours they went to a different bar where they talked about dudes wife, and she said she talked about our marriage quite a bit. I did start to get impatient around this time because it had been several hours and hadn't heard much from her. I didn't fear she was in any type of danger, but I do wish that she had kept me a little bit more in the loop.

Once they finished drinks and dinner she told me they were going to go back to his Air BNB because she needed a little bit to sober up. It was almost midnight at this point and I was slightly frustrated. I was hoping she would be home by now, but I understood she might have been too drunk to drive and I absolutely did not want her getting hurt coming home. She knew I was frustrated just due to the lack of communication all night and the fact that she had too much to drink.

Shortly after she sent me a text that read "if I fuck him and come home and fuck you, will you be mad"? I quickly responded that I would absolutely not be mad! About a half hour went by, where she then told me the video she recorded was too long to send via text and that she was coming home. When she got home I watched the video and it was H O T. Overall it was a good experience. We both learned a lot from it. We talked a lot about it since all this happened 2 weeks ago and we are both at an understanding as to how to handle it next time. We've been flirting with the idea of meeting up with him again, and also the idea of potentially finding another guy closer to where we live.
