To start off, I am 4'10" and my husband is 5'3". My husband's long time friend is a 6'3" big strong man. And I have always loved hugs and cuddles from this big bear of a man and have felt so safe and protect when we are outside and I am with him and having my arms around his massive arm. Especially in crowds when I cling onto him or he'll have his arms around me.

I love hugs and cuddles and he is aware of this and gives me hugs as such when he is over. He hugs me tight and often picks me up in his arms to hug me even tighter. Nothing against my husband, and I love him to the core but the affection from his friend is something else entirely. Especially when all three of us are watching cricket, and I'll get bored and I'll lean against the friend and then end up climbing upon him and sleep off. It's comfortable and cozy. Hubby is aware and understands this element of our friendship and he lets us be.
