Anyone get excited buying really mundane things for your wife's dates?

So my wife and I were out today picking up a few bits for her dates. Just things like a new suitcase, travel bottles for lube, a little bag to leave in her suitcase containing condoms, a bullet vibrator, butt plug etc. and I found myself getting really turned on!
Anyone else experience this?
