Hey all, I'm a 40 yr old fit single male in the LS. Parents are from India and I'm from the US. I've been in and out of the LS for several years, it's been fun.
So you don't have to be Indian to know that it's a conservative culture. While things are changing in India, even now sex and sexual topics are not openly discussed and in large swaths of the country girls and women are still made to feel ashamed for wanting or enjoying sex. This stigma carried over to the US to varying degrees for many of us first generation Indian-American kids. And it's resulted in a disproportionally low number of Indian folks in the LS, or at least in my experience.
The good news, is that things seem to be changing! I've only played with one Indian wife in the past but I've been able to recently connect with a few other Indian couples. And there seem to be more popping in chat groups and message boards all the time! So it's great to see more Indian folks in the LS.
I agree when you say you’re seeing more of it. I receive alot of positive feedback from sharing my experiences with couples of South Asian origin here on Reddit. Many have said that seeing other Desi couples participating in the LS has helped them overcome their fear of stigma and be more open to making the moves themselves.
