Unwanted/natural submission??

Just had this conversation with a stag/vixen couple. They believe that no one submits to someone by someone naturally. Meaning that someone’s physical, intellectual, appearance or presentation can without words or agreement make someone take a step back. I from my experiences disagree with that statement. Can we get others opinions?
