New at this lifestyle and have had a couple experiences. Both times there was plenty of dialogue beforehand (we like a mental connection and not just a physical one). Both times, they knew I wasn't looking for a "hit it and quit it" but wanted an ongoing connection even if just an occasional chat. They both basically ghosted immediately without even much general pleasantries.....one was leaving town and couldn't even acknowledge that I said Happy Father's Day. Such a dick move....I'm not a "clinger" but some acknowledgement that I just let you have ALL OF ME would be nice.

Is this just typical? If so, we're done with that type of experience. We're careful about who whe choose because of this sort of thing but even the first experience (localish 40s male) talked for weeks about life stuff before we met and then immediately after.... 👻. Even though I know where he works as a bartender.

The second (visiting the area 30s male) even sent pics of his son throughout chatting and knew I hoped he wouldn't just ghost me after....but here we are. Won't reply even to a "drive safe" or "Happy Father's Day" message.

Am I applying too much emotion? Is it wrong to even assume there would be some affirmation of how much this means to a woman?

Maybe this lifestyle isn't right for us?

Would an ongoing bull situation be a better arrangement so the expectations are more set and there's some appreciation for the experience?

Appreciate any and all advice.
