How common are infidelity/break ups in this lifestyle?

Hi, I'm a bit curious about this lifestyle.

I enjoy the fantasy of it but the way I see it, the more other people you experience the more likely to are to find those you enjoy more than your partner, the more likely to are to be unsatisfied with your current partner right?

The more unsatisfied you are the more likely it is that you lose interest in your partner. This makes sense to me as just human nature.

So how common is it for couples to break up in this lifestyle? Are couples who engage in this closer or more distant/ disloyal to their partner?

(And by disloyal I mean likely to engage in behaviour outside of the bounds with which you agreed upon)

It seems like it's ideally this would bring couples together but the reason for that is that it brings up many challenges that would test a relationship.

I'm very curious.

I can’t speak intelligently on the frequency of breakups, but I would agree the lifestyle has helped us get closer. We are more open and honest than ever before. That is the biggest change we’ve experienced. We came into this with a very strong relationship built on trust, honesty, and open communication. Somehow all of those pillars grew stronger. Oh and it helps to come in with an outstanding sex life to begin with. We built rules / guidelines to protect our relationship. This lifestyle is fun, but definitely not worth our relationship.
