How is sex after a third better if you already have great sex?

Post Body

We have almost always had a healthy sex life. It has had its ups and downs with kids, career, educational efforts and regular day to day stress. But has never been “bad” or absent. Probably the longest we have ever gone between episodes is 2-3 weeks.

It significantly improved a few years ago when we switched to primarily morning sex, and agreed that we would do it every Saturday and Sunday. That gradually changed to almost every day, and has now become everyday and sometimes 2-3 times per day. Is that frequency unusual in this group?

Primarily because our sex is good, we have a strong relationship, have had the fantasy for years, and have learned so much from this group, we are looking for a third. As we look, we read these sub-reddits to learn from more experienced couples, and one of the most frequent statements is that sex between partners after a third and a hotwife have sex, is “incredible”. My question is what makes it more intense? I suspect it is reliving the experience in the imagination and discussing it between the two of us. I know that when we discuss it during our routine sex and simply imagine the scenario, our sex is really good and hot.

Am I missing anything.
