Why do raw cayenne peppers cause me to experience “hyper-salivation” (I don’t know the real term lol) but hotter peppers like habaneros do not?

I’m trying to figure out what exactly causes that reaction. When I eat a cayenne, my mouth starts watering a ton, so much so that I have to spit every 5-10 seconds, but habaneros are just hot, without the spitting.
