No I can barely squat these days. I wrestled my whole life so that and sprints is mostly what it’s from. I love me some lunges though

Respectfully of course

Also although I can’t recommend it because of the impact on the joints…. Sprinting is the absolute best way to grow quads. There’s a lot of type 2 muscle fibers typically in the legs so training explosively can blow them up just look at sprinters legs vs long distance athletes it’s insane how the legs will explode when you train like a sprinter. Too much impact for a regular person in my opinion though

Yeah I do, just not for squats because I can’t without a ton of pain in my hip socket for the last 3 years after college wrestling. (Squats are a bit overrated in my opinion anyways) I can still leg press and lunge but, If I had it my way I’d work for a 405 squat since I’ve deadlifted 505 and benched/squatted 315

That’s horrible to hear man I’m so sorry about that! I wrestled A LOT. Into college as well. Lifted a lot and ran stairs/sprints a lot so it was just a good mix of it all and I’m only around 5’10 so I’m not tall
