While injured, do you find it helpful or detrimental to look at old pictures of yourself during the recovery process?

This past April, I injured my knee stiltwalking at a show. While I've been waiting to get surgery I've been looking at some performance photos trying to gain some inspiration. The process has been a mixed bag of emotions to say the least.
