It helps to minimize crossover during lounging. That’s how he got the scab, the other hoof knocked it

She thought it might have scratches, which I thought was a topical fungus…

Also I know this photo is horrible - it’s a still of a video I took ( didn’t have both hands available )

Not lame. Not hot. No fever. No red flags; however, lady at the barn said I should pick it off. I ran water over to soften, but it barely softened. IMO it appears to be a normal scab healing normally (looks yellow I know) , but I wanted a second opinion bc lady at the barn scared me.

She said if there is a layer on top of pus that it can get infected and it needs to be red and bleeding to heal normally. I agree, this sounds super counterproductive and not my style so I didn’t pick it — but then I googled it and there were legit articles about how you have to pick them off … so now I’m like ????
