I didn’t do a PPE because I was too broke at the time. He was lame when I bought him. He was stiff turning to the left and did the head bob to the left, and had really really horrible feet. The shoes were too small and the toes were super long. He had a bad club foot also. I reasoned that if he was too lame to ride from internal stuff or otherwise, he would be my pet. Later, when I had the means, we did X-rays that showed he had hairline fractures in the coffin bones that healed a bit weird which explained the lameness. He has corrective showing now and is sound with some really creative and talented farrier-work! We are careful with him, obviously, but he seems happy and sound! He loves to jump & just won his first .60m show !
