How much does it usually cost you per month for your horse?
Post Body

I want to start planning for in the future for when I can afford a horse, so how much do you spend per month?

Comments

Depends. Do you want to board? Keep them at home? Cost of living will change for better or worse in a few years. Hay and feed prices go up and down depending on the year and your location. Heck, individual horses cost different amounts depending on their needs.

To answer your question though, most months they cost me the mortgage. Other months they can cost $2-3k extra in bills, transport, or extra feed.
