Post Body

Hi guys!

About 5 weeks ago my farrier came out and discovered white line in my horse. He resectioned the foot. Initially, I treated it for a few days with iodine and gave my horse some bute. Now I have just been using a brush to clear and dirt/debris daily and applying iodine only once very few days.

I was just wondering if anyone who has dealt with white line before can give me a rough estimation of how long my horse will continue to be sore. He limps when turning from side to side but is fine walking straight. It’s really starting to worry me. My farrier is coming out to see him next week, but I just wanted to ask here if this is normal at this stage of treatment.

I will attach a photo of his foot the day after it was resectioned for reference.

Farrier looks like he did a nice job. It’ll take a while to grow out, 6-8 weeks. Virkon is amazing to soak the hoof in a few times a week. Whiteline sucks, commiserating with you OP!
