So I'm working on a pet portrait commission of a dark chestnut mare. However, the client only has these two photos left of her, as she passed in the 90s.
I'm trying to capture her in my painting, but I need a few good reference photos to work with. Mostly a closeup of a similar looking horse (it's mostly about the fur color - she was a darker chestnut) in good lighting / sunshine, so I can have references for how the fur color interacts with light etc. Google offers surprisingly few helpful photos.
Does anyone have good photos I could use as additional references? Thank you so much in advance!

Thatโs just concentrated red pigment, not black points.
