Crying internally, my mare ripped/rubbed out part of her mane, any tips to grow it back and protect the rest from the same fate?

Oh this sucks. Is she sticking her neck through the fence to graze? I have a filly who will do this through cable fences and it’s always the same spot, midway up the neck.
Time is truly the only thing to help, but I found braiding the rest of her mane seemed to help a little in the prevention side of things.
