Do people see horses as pets rather than transport now?

Post Body

What I mean is I almost never see people using horses as transport unless their Amish. Pretty much cause it's illegal now in most roads. So then this makes me come to some thought that people who get horses in modern-day are most likely using them as pets and they don't serve any real purpose as farm animals. Which also makes me then wonder as well. Why can't they be reintroduced to the wild? I do like horses but I also know horses can for sure live off the wild it's not common but they still exist for sure. What exactly is the point of getting a horse?

Comments

Some people keep them as pasture pets and never do anything with them except love on and feed them. Some people show. Some people do ranch work with them. There are a bunch of different things that can be done with horses that isn't using them as normal transportation. We trail ride ours and our younger ones will start showing next year.
