What I do is tear of all the weapons off the slaughterspine. So i start off with 3 notch arrows in stealth on the slaughterspine tail. Then hit all its plasma launchers on its spine. Works out pretty well. I've noticed tho that the slaughterspine then charges into you a lot more so you have to be ready for that. Its actually very easy. If your aim doesnt work for you then just rope it up and bait it into traps.
