So I wanna write a story where folk magic is real like wiccans, druids, witchcraft, voodoo, and hoodoo and more. But thing is I can't really trust a lot of information nowadays to be accurate and I want info on how to authentically incorporate it.

So hoodoo is like at the top of my list of things to figure out because A. I want the main character to use it alongside voodoo and druidic magic, B there's a lot of fake info about it and C. I don't know a lot about it. Basically all I know or think I know is hoodoo magic is internal and comes from the self and not other spirits/angels like voodoo, and it originated in africa and when it was moved to the states it got compared with voodoo a lot. So if anyone can give me reliable information of hoodoo practices, abilities, and beliefs that would be great
