A few days ago I was going down the rabbit hole and looking up old DigitalRev videos, this video about David Chan's shop and later came across this video by Jason Vong talking about finding lenses for very cheap. Looking at those stores online for the camera gear I want, the savings are 30-50%. But then at 9:45 he mentions that locals can find camera gear for even cheaper but won't mention how. Can anyone enlighten me on this?
One of my family friends from HK a while back mentioned that buying a tailored suit in Hong Kong is considerably cheaper in HK. Something like $200CAD in HK vs $1000CAD in Canada.
If you factor in the lack of sales tax in HK, then it really does seem like most things for sale in HK are cheaper than the west.
What else is cheaper in HK vs elsewhere?
