This is piston #1, needless to say its not supposed to look like that.
So, my 2007 AWD E experienced sudden death while cruising on the highway. VSA Check engine etc decided to be part of this christmas season and light up my dashboard. I wasnt sure what was up, so I scanned for codes...
P2646, P0300, P0301, P0302.
Drove back home (100 km away) in limp mode. I was overdue with oil change (170kms past or so, I should have done this before I left but did not have the time) so I figured I should start with that as the vtec stuff really hates when oil is not perfect.
This fixed P2646, P0300, and P0302 but P0301 was still up and the engine still wasnt happy. So i checked for compression on Cyl1, and... there it was, 0 PSI. Decided to look at it with a camera, just in case it was a stuck valve or something, and there it was.
So, I have had my E recalled. Its got a 2.5in lift, nice wheels, brand new shocks, clutch, battery and starter but it still wants money from my pockets.
Not sure what to do. Some guy quoted 1800$CAD for an engine swap (all included) but idk.
What do you guys think?
Edit: I should fix the date on the endoscopic camera
