I was in a bind and needed to buy motorcycle oil from Walmart to continue riding last year. I finally was able to buy some Honda oil more specific to my bike for this season but forgot to order a new filter.

The filter only has about 400 miles on it and the oil/filter should be changed every 1500 miles. My question is would it be alright to continue using the filter for another 1000 miles with the fresh oil then change both when the time came?

It's not exactly a matter of money, I just really want to ride after weeks of working on it and if I can continue using the filter for the rest of its lifespan, it'd be ideal.
