01 Base Prelude engine replacement
Post Body

I recently bought a base 2001 honda prelude with a blown h22a4 and 5 speed tranny. I would like to replace the motor with the same one or something slightly better. I am not interested in doing a complete rebuild as the block is probably to gone. Looking to do a straight swap. I know they have a H22 JDM blue top version of the motor, which is around 1000 usd shipping. Anyone think the price is worth it or should I just go pull a H22 from the junkyard/retailer and call it a day? Iā€™m looking for general advice on this. I have done a build on a 305 Chevy, but never a Honda. Iā€™m looking to make this as straightforward as possible.
