I always heard about the “90’s civics are easily stolen” thing, and while I’ve been cautious with mine, I wasn’t really talking it seriously but after selling my old EJ coupe I’ve been getting concerned.
I sold my EJ coupe a few weeks ago, and the person had left with the key and they were going to pick up the car via tow truck the next day. When the tow truck came I had to back it out the driveway. The problem was that the steering wheel was locked and I didn’t have the key. I took my EJ hatch key to see if it would work and I was able to unlock the wheel.
So now I’m worried that anybody with a 90’s Honda key can start up my car and drive off. I have an alarm system installed but still, is there anything else I can do to prevent it getting stolen?
