Bought a 14 Civic EX How do I use mirrorlink?

The sales guy said there's some $60 fee, and a $60 cord that you can buy that hooks into the HDMI port which will allow you to show your navigation app directly on the screen. I use Waze all the time, and this would be awesome. I know there has to be a cheaper way. I use an Android Galaxy S7.
