Good Sporty Tire Options?

I just bought a used 2010 Crosstour V6. Unfortunately it's only FWD, but far I really like it, but it is close to needing new tires. I am not a reckless speed demon. But I like letting the pedal down a but sometimes. I know little about tires and what to look for. What would be some good tire options that would be a bit more grippy and fun to drive with, that would also be plenty durable?
