[College Biology: Bioprocessing] What are the micro and macronutrients necessary for the growth and development of microorganisms?
Post Body

This is from our intro task and might've been a very basic question to most but I haven't had the clue to answer it ever since (quite shameful tbh). I'm assuming it's a set of particular elements and that it depends on the microorganism's metabolic capabilities. Carbon (C), Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Sulfur (S), Potassium (K), Oxygen (O) and Hydrogen (H) are a given since it comprises most of life. But what group does it categorize to? Macro or Micro? I think there's lot more, which I've probably heard already, but I have no idea where it falls to. Throughout my course, this question hasn't been fully tackled up until now and the elements are discussed in various subjects. Any help or explanation is very much appreciated. Thank you
