So, kind of a long, but imo a funny story about a rag tag "bad news bears" type of team I was on back in the day.

So were we the assholes for hitting the same player 4 times in one game?

Back story: When I was 16 myself and a couple friends who hadn't played ball since recently league (but were good players) decided to scrap up a team out of our friend group and anyone we could find from our school who wanted to join.. as you can imagine, we ended up with a super rag tag group of guys that knew we wouldn't be awesome, but loved the game enough to have fun.

We joined a semi select league and actually didn't do too bad, ending up finishing one game under .500 (Thanks to our ace travel team pitcher who was looking for a quick summer league for who knows why)

Anyway.... we finish our season, and for some reason the local mega high school's JV team was scrimmaging teams from our league for off season practice. And yes they beat the shit out of us 8-0 with me and one other guy being our only hits

But here's where the title question comes in... their 2nd baseman was a total asshole.

In the first inning our ace got a little off and hit the guy, and he immediately started talking shit and acting like a jerk.... they get a few runners on and yadda yadda we get out of the inning and move on.

The next time he's up, he hits a double and for some reason decides to pimp it like he isn't playing a low level team... well... we passed him off bad at that point because without our coaches knowing we pulled a hidden ball trick on him... and he was PISSED and started cussing the SS and 2nd basemen

So then we decided "fuck it" this guy is getting hit next time up... and yup he got hit next time up.... then he doubled down.. he scored a run off the HBP and ran down our catcher and pushed him into the back stop and the Ump had to step in.

So of another inning or two go by and we have a new pitcher, and yup we hit him again.... he was pissed but whatever they went on a rally.

Last inning hits and we go to our last pitcher (who was kind of a non confrontational guy), and the a-hole is up for the 5th time in the game.. we straight up had an infield meeting and told our pitcher "get him again" so he got another one to the ribs.
