First year rec league coach, how to approach another parent/assistant coach on their style of coaching?
Post Body

What do I say to a guy who is by all accounts nice enough but comes off like a football coach? Heā€™s louder but not in your face. Kinda acts as an unrequested enforcer when Iā€™m trying to get the kids attention by threatening ā€œlapsā€. I over heard him say ā€œCmon guys, no errors!ā€ While I was coaching up the batter. For context these kids are 9-11 and most of them are first year in kid pitch. He wasnā€™t at the last game but Iv been dropping subtle hints to parents about saying things like ā€œjust throw strikesā€ when their kid is pitching as opposed to ā€œ just play catchā€. Like no shit just throw strikes. Thatā€™s what they are trying to do. Anyway, how do I broach this with the guy while trying to avoid some kind of situation. Just speak up and tell him to take it easy on them next time he says or does something? Do I pull him aside?
