I’ll be coaching my son’s LL this year. First year kid pitch. Obviously fundamentals are first and foremost but what are some things I should make sure to implement?

Post Body

Hey all, first year head coach this year for my son’s LL. It’s a rec league so it’s not ultra competitive but I want to make sure our practices are efficient and the kids are getting the most out of it. What drills or key activities can I implement in practices without overloading kids? I have a tendency to go a bit too deep into the weeds and would probably be better suited for an assistant coach at a higher level but I want to do this with my son. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Edit….wow guys. The plethora of advice and genuinely great points paired along with support I cannot thank you guys enough. I love this game and I’m so beyond excited to share this with kids. I am reading each and every comment and I am taking notes mentally. This is the first time Iv posted on this sub and cannot thank y’all enough.
