Ventilation options

Been thrilled by our builder and he and his team have been spot on with everything on our home build. They telling us due to our peaks and roof pitch adequate ventilation cannot be obtained with ridge vents. They are telling us 4 turbines are required. They are wanting to use these ugly monstrosities. Wondering if anyone has other good options if ridge vents are out. Solar any good? Better looking wind turbines?
