I am trying to make my brews better and wanted to get some more frequent feedback. I enter competitions occasionally and think the feedback (and scoresheet format) is helpful. But my brews don't always align well with a competition, and I hate sending old beer. I'm not aware of a local club (and I rarely have the time to get out even if there was one).
So, Are there any beer judges out there that would like a beer pen pal? I'll ship you a beer, you email me a scoresheet? I only brew once a month or so, every once in a while I'll double up a brew day. I need help identifying potential issues or off flavors. I am just finding it hard to learn without a trained eye confirming my thoughts. Is free beer a sufficient trade for a judges feedback?
I just finished a DIPA and have an xmas ale slated for bottling next week.
