Hi /r/homebrewing. As the title says, my apple cider isn't so good.
I made the cider using 25L of unfiltered apple juice and 1.5 kg of honey. The juice did not contain preservatives but had been pasteurized.*
Here's a couple of photos:

I couldn't get the camera to focus perfectly on the liquid, but it's clear that the cider never clarified. Due to some holiday plans getting in the way, the primary fermentation and secondary fermentation were each about a month long.
The flavor is also a bit bad. It's hard to describe, but it's a bit tangy - maybe the flavor is yeast?
Has anyone had this happen before? Is it likely because I used pasteurized unfiltered apple juice, or is something else the cause? Can it be salvaged?
Thanks in advance for your help. :)
- I purchased the apple juice from a vendor in France, where I live. I do not speak French very well at all. I asked the vendor if the juice contains préservatif, which is the usual transformation for that type of english word into a French word. Oops, I forgot that in French, préservatif means condom! After having a good laugh, the vendor confirmed with me it contains neither préservatifs nor conservateurs (the french word for preservatives). I meant to also confirm the cider was also not pasteurized, but I was flustered after the préservatif situation. When I got home and had time to read the labels, I discovered that it was pasteurized.
