Follow-Up to Pellet Hop Advice

After my last post I decided to try adding my boil hops in a muslin bag. Well, I'm pretty sure I screwed up and overloaded it. The bag swelled up like it was made of concrete. I'm pretty sure no hop juice made it out.

Question 1 - will it be ok or is my assumption correct that there will hardly be any bittering?

Question 2 - assuming worst case, how can I fix it? It's in the fermenter already. I was thinking I could boil a small bit of water with more pellets in it and then just add that to the fermenter. Will this work?
