Gifted two (old) Servers - Worth using the cases?
Post Body

I was gifted an old Dell T320 and an HP Z800 workstation recently. The hardware in each is old (Sandy Bridge in the Dell and Dual Core Duo in the HP I think) but the cases are built like tanks.

My question is if it is feasible/worth the trouble to use the case or the PSU from these to build a server with new parts. I’ve not been able to look closely yet to see if the mobo and layout is standard or not in either.

If not I’d probably sell both to fund a new compact tower case. For a new TrueNAS build.
