Trying to optimize wifi (UK, Sky) (TP-Link Product Comparison)

EDIT:

Steam is in MB/S and the wifi speed test is in Mbps as someone stated 1MB=8Mbit, so 5.6MB x 8 = 44.8 Mbps, so I am a dumbass - with that in mind, however, the install time on games isn't very good and I'm still looking at ways to improve. My install time is not always at 5.6MB, sometimes it will be at 1 or 2 depending on the day.

Been trying to optimize wifi on my new gaming PC, it does not have a network card and I am with Sky FFTC (No f**king clue what that means). There is another desktop on the house with the network card that receives the same wireless internet connection results as the ones I tested below.

I tested the wifi connection results between the TP-link wifi dongle and ethernet booster (links below for reference). I don't understand why ethernet is the same if it is supposed to be better. I am aware it's not a direct connection to the computer, but I was hoping it would be better than a crappy little USB. Is there anything I can do to get better results? Changing ISP is out of the question.

Overall the wifi is relatively okay, I don't get lag in games often, and if I do it's short-term or rare (PUBG fucking lags but I think that's just the quality of the game and I don't care about that). It's just the install times that annoy me. I don't like having to leave my system on overnight to install stuff, as it's kinda a power drain (not ideal with current world events).

Results:

TP-Link Ethernet Booster:

--- As per Google Wifi Test ---

Download 20 - 50 Mbps

Upload 10 - 14 Mbps

--- As per Steam download ---

5.4 MB/Second (Disk said 28 MB/Second)

TP-link USB wifi dongle:

--- As per Google Wifi Test ---

Download 25 - 40 Mbps

Upload 13 - 14 Mbps

--- As per Steam download ---

5.6 MB/Second (Disk said 27 MB/Second)
