I've got a set of TP-Link powerline adapters the main one is downstairs in the lounge next to the router and the other two are located in each bedroom, they have 2x ethernet ports and wifi. My internet from the router is 70mbps down and 19mbps up, from the powerline adapters its not too far off this figure and seems solid wired. Wifi can be a bit strange like drop outs though they are use the same SSID and password so it shows as one network as opposed to different access points. I can't tell if the device is having a moment and can't decide which wifi powerline adapter to use maybe?
These are rated for 600mbps which Internet wise I nowhere near, I assume it will only matter for me for files I'm sending within my network to a fileserver for example? The house wiring is on two rings upstairs and downstairs and I assume the adapters work because everything goes through the same RCD panel?
Are there other better options and what would be involved.
