Is a two pair Cat5e ethernet cable enough for 300 mbps?
Post Body

Very simple question, I would think this doubt could be resolved with a 2 seconds google search but I can only find the speeds of each category but nothing on the amount of wires.

I have a very sturdy and unpractical ethernet cable with eight wires and a much more usable cat5e one with only four wires. I want it to connect the PC to the router over a 1 m distance. My router has a nominal transfer rate of 300 mbps (I use it to stream movies through the local network, not just internet), would the 4 wire cable bottleneck the connection?

Thanks in advance..
