Why are there no Wifi range extenders with 2.5Gbe ethernet?

Wifi 6 does over 1Gbe speeds, and they all seem to only offer them with 1Gbe ports. This makes no sense.
Netgear is now offering their Orbi system when you wifi bridge to your router. I already cabled up my house with CAT8, why would I want to bridge with wifi. The only way would be to buy another router and use that as an extender, a massive waste of money.
