ER-X SFP + UAP AC lite VS ER-X SFP + Archer C7

Hi everyone. I just want to ask why does it make sense to use an access point (ER-X SFP UAP AC lite) rather than use another router (ER-X SFP UAP Archer C7)?
I have seen lots of posts with people using the AP for better positioning and less cables but does having another router connected to the ER-X make any detrimental impact to performance?
I'm asking because I don't really mind the cables nor about the positioning of the router. Plus, the Archer C7 costs less than the AP.
