I'm currently using an Asus RT-ACRH13 router which I use for wifi (CURRENT_SSID). It's not in a very central location, so I got a Unifi AP for the room with poor signal, wired it up to one of the ports on the Asus router, and now it has it's own network/SSID (UNIFI_SSID).
Am I right in assuming that Unifi APs aren't really able to extend the CURRENT_SSID from routers of another brand so that the device connecting will just connect to whichever is stronger? I assume they mesh well together with other Ubiquiti APs on the same network since I see settings for it.
I tried overriding the AP's SSID with CURRENT_SSID and the same password, but the dashboard tells me it has problems, so I'm not sure if that's the correct way to do it, or if that's actually a thing you can do.
