So I currently am about to move in with my friends into a bought we just recently got for the upcoming school year. In this house we have 4 people and we all use wifi pretty heavily there are 3 laptops, 3 tablets (iPads), 4 smartphones, and an xbox one and maybe a PS4 if my friend decides to buy one. Right now there is pretty much only room in our house that doesn't get that good of wifi and our router is already in the most central location, an outlet extender will not work because this is a bedroom and so it needs mobility. I was wondering what kind of repeater you guys would recommend (I already know how bad repeaters are but there really isn't another option), our wifi we get around 150-200mbps since we have xfinity's best wifi service (i know comcast is the devil), and my xbox one is already on ethernet. Im looking mostly for a dual band repeater AC1200 router since all of us on are 5GHz I want to use the 2.4 for communication between the repeater and the router to hopefully bypass some of the issues that come with repeaters. Suggestions? Price range is around $100 not including tax.
