Time to upgrade modem, router, or both?
Post Body

Hi all, I've had both my modem and router for almost 10 years now. I'm definitely noticing connections dropping specifically with the router. Spectrum says I have a download speed of 600mbps. Speed test said 70 mbps..

Provider: Spectrum

Modem: Arris SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0

Router: Netgear WNDR4300V2, N750 Dual Band Gigabit Router

Time to upgrade? It's just me in my 1000 sq. ft. apartment but I do heavily use the internet. I find my connection struggles in the bedroom and bathroom. Additionally the entire apartment is a smart home so there are a ton of devices connected.

2 gaming consoles, 12 lights, smart home thermostate, 3 Alexa devices, 1 desktop computer, 1 laptop, 1 tablet, 1 cell phone.

Any suggestions for me to have 0 wifi concerns for at least the near future?

Thanks!
