Hey everyone. So my family decided to get rid of cable (about time) and just do internet plans. We always had Fios and always used their router that were included into the plan. However, I’ve recently learned that it’s better to buy your own router and modem than using the one that Fios gives.
So here is where I’m dumb, do you guys pay the lowest internet plans rather than the higher ones to better utilize your own equipment? Do we still need to pay an internet service provider such as Comcast/Verizon? I’m just trying to really save money for better speeds since we’re a big family and there are more than 10 devices being used. As well as some of us use the internet to stream, game, and work from home.
