Hey folks, relative newbie here. I can usually navigate my way around a problem that has to do with tech, but I don't understand the intricacies of the solutions. I just go on advice. I'm a little outside my comfort zone right now. I want to extend my Internet connection From the primary dwelling to a bunkie in the woods. It will need to travel over a tiny hill then through some sparse to somewhat dense woods, That is to say, there is no clear light of sight.
The distance is approximately 200 to 300 feet away.. And I don't actually have the Internet connection yet - still closing the purchase of the property haha. But I have a choice between bell fiber op and starlink here in Nova Scotia. Not sure which one I'm going with yet., but it might have something to do with the easiest way to extend that Internet from the primary home to the Bunkie in the woods.
There is no Plan to have a dedicated power line to the Bunkie yet, but that will be sorted out, whether it's through some solar setup or running conduit from the house to the bunky as well. I might even just go with a rechargeable power bank depending on what all I plan to power there. generally speaking, it's supposed to be off grid.
Thank you!
