Creating my first home network - Opinions on Unifi vs Omada
Post Body

Like the title says I am planning to start redoing my home office and that includes building a home network system that will serve both my personal and business needs. Step 1 is to just get a router and PoE switch so I can get some APs in the other rooms.

I have been doing research on Ubiquiti's system but it is costly so I looked around more and heard about TP-Link's system which looks just as good; maybe? I wanted to get some opinions from people that have used either one of these systems so I can decide which route I want to go down. I have heard its a case of "Apple vs Android" with Ubiquiti being very attractive yet restrictive while TP-Link is considered budget yet less restrictive but I am not sure how accurate that is. Eventually my setup is going to include NVR for some cameras, NAS storage, the whole nine yards so I want to make sure I pick a starting system that can incorporate all of that well. Thanks!
