Ethernet auto negotiation caps at 100mbps

I’ve been using auto negotiate fine with 1gigabit but today suddenly it’s capped at 100mbps. I’ve tried resetting it and turning the pc off / on again but no luck. I’ve also tried different Ethernet ports and cables but still the same outcome. Ethernet drivers are also all up to date. Any ideas?

EDIT - after some messing around, I managed to get it to stay on 1gbps full duplex and work at 900mbps (what I pay for). Not sure why it took so long to recognise the change and take many attempts. Leaving this post up for anyone else that might have issues.
