Greetings,
To provide context, I'm currently subscribed to two separate Xfinity internet plans for my residence. The backstory is that I reside in a concrete house, originally designed by a banker. Initially, the Wi-Fi signal from my first modem couldn't reach my upper kitchen and the two farthest bedrooms on the upper floor. Consequently, I requested a second modem for the upstairs area, but I was informed that I'd have to pay for an additional plan to get one… I fell for it..
Lately, I've been encountering Wi-Fi connectivity issues and I've been researching how all of this functions. It appears that there might be some issues with my setup. In my opinion, it shouldn't be influenced by the thickness of my walls. The internet plan is supposed to cover my entire address, regardless of whether I'm on the upper or lower floor (IF, I have those coaxial screw in plugs from the wall which I do)! If I were to connect additional Wi-Fi modems I purchased from Amazon, I should ideally receive the same speeds as my primary modem downstairs, which is connected to the coaxial in the wall.
I’ve had techs come out but all are no help. I should only be paying for another plan if I have a separate address or additional home on my property. How am I paying 2 internet plans for a singular address? Can’t I just buy additional modems and connect them to the internet from the wall that should be from the same plan? There’s some funky stuff going on here.
Any help would be awesome. Thank you.
