Hello Everyone,
I have xfinity xfi internet and its been dropping on me a lot, 4 times to be exact just today. I have a $30 full copper coaxial cable that goes from my modem into a wall connecter, then from the wall connecter, screws into a cable in my wall (guessing that’s where I get sent internet from, sorry not very familiar with networks/Wi-Fi). I keep re setting my modem, even switching coaxial cables but it got worse so I switched back to my expensive cable.
I have a connector thats female on both ends, should I screw in the cable from my modem straight to the cable in my wall and bypass this wall socket female thing?
I logged into my modem and saw what everyone mentions about downstream/upstream but I have no idea what I’m looking at. Planning on getting a new modem Monday, but I don’t think that’s the issue because I just replaced this modem a few months ago in the summer. The new one they’ll give me is the XB8 in which I currently have the XB7.
I work from home and it’s EXTREMELY important I stay online so I have also been looking at mobile internet like jet packs from Verizon but all these mobile internet devices have mixed reviews.
I’m just tired and pissed. Thank y’all in advance.
